Baylor Health Care System performs more heart and vascular procedures than any other hospital system in North Texas, and Baylor University Medical Center at Dallas was the first in North Texas to offer many heart care procedures. Despite this success, heart and vascular disease remains the nation’s No. 1 killer of both men and women.

Baylor is among a small number of institutions that practice an integrated approach to cardiovascular care, with the ability to practice excellent medicine, study medicine from a practical and intellectual perspective and oversee the delivery of health care.

We believe the clinical research studies at Baylor are those that can bring the best new medicines and technology to patients as soon as possible. More than 4,000 patients have taken part in this research, which keeps Baylor on the leading edge of heart and vascular medicine.

Baylor Dallas is one of the few hospitals not aligned with a medical school that has an active and successful graduate medical education program. The result of a fellowship is a physician who will impact thousands of people. Philanthropic support allows Baylor to continue to meet its mission in research and graduate medical education.
