Growing Involvement in Our Community 

As a partner with the citizens of our community, Baylor Waxahachie is committed to contributing to the life of the Ellis County community.

Throughout the year Baylor Waxahachie offers free preventive health services to the community such as health screenings, health fairs, immunizations and community education. We participate in local civic organizations and each year our employees are part of the annual United Way Fund Raising campaign.

  • In Fiscal Year 2011, Baylor Waxahachie provided $7.44 million in charity health care to the community.
  • In Fiscal Year 2011, we provided free childhood immunizations to over 4,400 kids, and approximately 4,000 people took advantage of our free screenings or health education.
  • Every year, Baylor Waxahachie makes a significant donation to the Hope Clinic in order to assist in providing a medical home for  uninsured or underinsured residents of Ellis County. In addition, many of our physicians volunteer their time at the clinic.
  • The hospital also supports fellow community non-profit organizations by sponsoring annual fundraisers such as the United Way, Dinah Weable Pink Hearts and Ribbons Foundation, Relay for Life and others.

It is a goal for Baylor to work to improve the health of the communities we serve.
