Diabetes Support Group 

Diabetes Support and Education Group

Do you have diabetes or have a loved one who has been diagnosed? Do you live in the Dallas area? Then, consider joining us for the Baylor Plano Diabetes Support and Education Group.

The beginning of the session is a time for support—asking questions and sharing with other people affected by diabetes. Next, one hour is devoted to education, primarily on prediabetes and type 1 and type 2 diabetes management.

Various topics are discussed, including:

  • Diabetes and nutrition
  • Understanding blood glucose levels and your lab work
  • Preventing the complications of diabetes
  • Artificial sweeteners and their impact
  • How to read food labels
  • Grocery shopping tips for people with diabetes

Day: Second Thursday of every month (except during July and December)

Time: 7 p.m. 
Snacks will be provided.

Location: Conference Room A/B on the Garden Level of Baylor Regional Medical Center at Plano
