BAYLOR REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER AT PLANO DESIGNATED AN AETNA INSTITUTE OF QUALITY® BARIATRIC SURGERY FACILITY

(Plano, TX, May 24) Baylor Regional Medical Center at Plano has been designated an Aetna Institute of Quality® Bariatric Surgery Facility. Aetna makes information about the quality and cost of health care services available to its members to help them make informed decisions about their health care needs. In line with this goal, Aetna recognizes hospitals and facilities in its network that offer specialized clinical services for certain health conditions. Facilities are selected for consistently delivering evidence-based, safe care.

The Baylor Regional Medical Center at Plano Weight Loss Surgery Cnter offers three weight loss surgery options to help people manage their weight: gastric bypass, gastric banding and gastric sleeve and also performs revision surgery. The Center has been named an American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS) Bariatric Surgery Center of Excellence®. The ASMBS Center of Excellence designation recognizes surgical programs with a demonstrated track record of favorable outcomes in bariatric surgery. In addition, the Baylor Plano Weight Loss Surgery Center has been designated a Blue Distinction® Center for Bariatric Surgery by the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Companies.
