Designated as a Safe Surgery Checklist Mentor Hospital Date Awarded: July 2009
Baylor Regional Medical Center at Plano was chosen as a World Health Organization Safe Surgery Checklist Mentor Hospital by the Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI). As an IHI mentor hospital, Baylor Plano is available to answer questions other hospitals may have about the checklist. The medical center piloted the Safe Surgery Checklist before it was implemented in operating rooms across the Baylor Health Care System and is now being contacted by other hospitals with questions about how to best implement the checklist at their own organizations. |
