Texas Nurses Association’s 100 Great Nurses

The 100 Great Nurses award focuses on nurses’ qualities as role models in leadership, service to the community, compassion as a caregiver and significant contributions to nursing. Selected by the Texas Nursing Association and D/FW Hospital Council, five Baylor Scott & White – Grapevine nurses received this award in 2016.

Magnet Designation for Nursing Excellence

Baylor Scott & White Medical Center - Grapevine received Magnet® designation for excellence in nursing services by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's (ANCC) Magnet Recognition Program®. Magnet status is one of the highest levels of recognition a hospital can achieve. For patients, this designation means that their care is provided by a nursing staff that ranks in the top seven percent of hospitals in the country.

First Hospital in Texas to Earn Full Atrial Fibrillation Certification

The Society of Cardiovascular Patient Care (SCPC) recently awarded Baylor Scott & White – Grapevine Grapevine full Atrial Fibrillation Certification status. It is the first Texas hospital to earn full certification.

Heart Failure Accreditation

Baylor Scott & White – Grapevine has received full Heart Failure Accreditation status from the Society of Cardiovascular Patient Care.

Cycle IV Chest Pain Center Accreditation

Baylor Scott & White – Grapevine earned Cycle 4 Chest Pain Accreditation from the Society of Cardiovascular Patient Care.

Primary Stroke Center Designation

The Joint Commission, in conjunction with The American Heart Association/American Stroke Association, recently recognized Baylor Scott & White – Grapevine with Certification for Primary Stroke Centers. Achievement of Primary Stroke Center Certification signifies an organization’s dedication to fostering better outcomes for patients. The hospital's Primary Stroke Center Certification has demonstrated that their program meets critical elements of performance to achieve long-term success in improving outcomes for stroke patients.

Top Performer on Key Quality Measures by The Joint Commission

Baylor Scott & White – Grapevine is named one of the nation’s Top Performers on Key Quality Measures by The Joint Commission, the leading accreditor of health care organizations in America. Baylor Scott & White – Grapevine was recognized for achieving excellence in performance on its accountability measures during 2011 for conditions including heart attack, heart failure, pneumonia and surgical care.

Commission on Cancer and National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers

The American College of Surgeons granted Baylor Scott & White – Grapevine's oncology program with its Commission on Cancer (CoC) designation and the Baylor Breast Center at Grapevine as a National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC). Receiving care at a CoC and NAPBC-accredited facility provides patients with access to quality, comprehensive care and a multidisciplinary team approach to treatment.

Primary Stroke Center Designation from Joint Commission

The first three hours after a stroke are critical for treatment and now area residents have access to quality stroke care close to home. Baylor Scott & White – Grapevine is certified as a primary stroke center which means we demonstrate the ability to provide the complete continuum of care improving outcomes for people who suffer strokes. Procedures are set in place for the emergency department to quickly evaluate stroke victims for treatment options, which may include the use of drug therapy for dissolving clots. Drug therapy within the first three hours after the start of stroke symptoms can significantly reduce the effects of stroke and reduce permanent disability.

2009 Texas Award for Performance Excellence

Baylor Scott & White – Grapevine has received the Quality Texas Foundation 2009 Texas Award for Performance Excellence (TAPE) award.
It is only the sixth health care organization and the first in Tarrant County to receive this statewide recognition.

National Press Ganey Awards

Date awarded: 2008
Baylor Scott & White – Grapevine was awarded two national Press Ganey Awards. The hospital received the Success Story award for outstanding improvement in patient satisfaction scores and the Compass award, which recognized the emergency room for being among the top in patient satisfaction improvements.

Texas Ten Step Facility

The Baylor Scott & White – Grapevine has been designated a Texas Ten Step Facility due to the breastfeeding friendly policies in place.

2008 Quality Texas Foundation Progress Award

Quality Texas is an organizational improvement training and education foundation that helps businesses, schools, hospitals, not-for-profits and government agencies achieve excellence through knowledge, feedback and recognition. The Progress Level Award recognizes that the hospital "demonstrates a sound, balanced approach to organizational management and performance improvement."

Baylor Scott & White – Grapevine received a Texas Health Care Quality Improvement Award of Excellence from TMF Health Quality Institute (TMF), the Medicare quality improvement organization for Texas.
