An automatic teller machine is located in the Main Lobby and Women’s Center entrance for your convenience.
Café meals for visitors and family are also available. The Café is open from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. for beverages, ice cream, chips, cold sandwiches and salads. Hot meals are served at these times:
For the convenience of those who visit the hospital when the Café is closed, vending machines in the snack bar offer assorted hot and cold foods and drinks. The snack bar is located on the first floor, near the Main Lobby. Change machines are also located in this area.
Visitors should check with the nurse before bringing patients food or drinks to ensure they are appropriate for the patient. In intensive care units, please check with nurses regarding any gifts.
The hospital Gift Shop hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. until 4:45 p.m., and Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Closed on Sunday.
Your friends and family can call you directly by dialing (972) 485.-3 and your room number, or they can call (972) 487-5000 and ask the operator for your room. If you don’t feel like receiving calls, just call the operator (0) and request no calls. When you want to receive calls again, simply call the operator.
For local calls outside of the medical center, dial 9 + area code + local number. For calling card/collect calls dial 9 + 0 + area code + number. After dialing 9, do not wait for a second dial tone, just continue to dial your number.

Baylor Garland chaplains and Pastoral Care volunteers make routine visits throughout the hospital. You may request a visit by informing your nurse or by calling the hospital operator (0). Should you desire a visit from clergy of your congregation or faith group, a chaplain can assist you. Baylor Health Care System’s Dial-A-Prayer service is available by calling 214.820.2333 and Request-A-Prayer can be reached at 214.820.7575.
Each patient room, except for those in the intensive care units, features a 30-inch television. You may access hospital information and other useful information on Channel 2 as well as relaxing music on Channel 18. Please respect other patients by keeping the volume low and turning off sets at bedtime.
There are designated lounges for visitors on patient floors. Specific areas have been designated for guests in other areas. If you are in a large group, we ask for your consideration of other patients’ families when seating is limited.
