Founded in 1903, Baylor University Medical Center at Dallas was the first hospital of Baylor Health Care System. As a not-for-profit hospital, we are devoted to serving everyone through exemplary health care, education, research, and community service. Our legacy of caring for the North Texas community is reflected in our accomplishments in both health care and community service.
Each year, our medical staff and hospital receive numerous awards and accolades for health care services and medical specialties. The trend continues in 2015.
Each year, Baylor Dallas proudly provides quality care to 300,000 patients through our extensive physician and specialty networks.
Baylor University Medical Center has a rich history which began with its founding as the Texas Baptist Memorial Sanitarium in 1903.
Under the guidance of our president, John B. McWhorter, Baylor Dallas continually evolves, striving to ensure ever-higher levels of patient satisfaction and enhanced access to quality health care services.
Our charity care and community-based programs help meet the health care needs of underrepresented and uninsured Texans.
