The American College of Surgeons’ Commission on Cancer (CoC) has granted three-year accreditation to the cancer program at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Carrollton. CoC Accreditation signifies Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Carrollton's commitment to meet rigorous standards and improve the quality of care for patients with cancer. Receiving care at a CoC-accredited cancer program helps ensure: comprehensive care, including a range of advanced services and equipment; a multispecialty, team approach to coordinate treatment options; information about ongoing clinical trials and new treatment options; access to cancer-related information, education and support; ongoing monitoring and improvement of care; and more.
Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Carrollton’s Non-invasive Cardiovascular Lab has been granted a three-year term of accreditation in adult transthoracic echocardiography – an important heart imaging procedure – by the Intersocietal Accreditation Commission.
Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Carrollton is recognized by The Joint Commission as a Top Performer on Key Quality Measures® for achieving excellence in performance on its accountability measures during 2013 for heart attack, heart failure, pneumonia and surgical care measure sets.
