At Baylor, our nurses are empowered to make decisions that improve patient care. We are committed to a shared leadership model that encourages all staff nurses to be actively involved in setting the clinical policies and procedures for their unit.
That’s one of the reasons why Baylor nurses are more engaged in their work than RNs who work for many other employers nationwide. According to Baylor’s 2008 employee survey conducted by Watson Wyatt, Baylor’s employee engagement score is 8% higher than the national norm of 68%.
Besides a rewarding career, you’ll have great benefits, including medical and dental coverage that begins on your first day of employment, and tuition reimbursement.
Our nurses are often honored for their dedication and service to their patients and their profession. Learn more about some recent Baylor nursing achievements.

With over 200 free and on-site continuing education classes a year for our staff nurses, Baylor shows its dedication to our nurses' education. We believe education is the key to our success now and in the future.

To help our nurse leaders develop to their fullest potential, Baylor is developing a Nurse Leadership Academy and Fellowship for Nursing Administration. The academy will provide a convenient and inexpensive way for nurses at the supervisor level and above to develop leadership skills and prepare for advancement opportunities. The fellowship program will help prepare high-potential nurse leaders for vice president and chief nursing officer positions.
With a nursing school on our Dallas campus and partnerships with many universities in the area offering advanced nursing degrees, our nurses have many opportunities to grow and learn.
Growth Through ASPIRE Program
Our nurses benefit from the ASPIRE Program, which provides opportunities for registered nurses in bedside direct care roles to continue their professional growth and development and awards a bonus after successful completion ($2,000 to $5,000, depending on the level). The ASPIRE program is based on the American Association of Critical Care Nurses Synergy Model for Patient Care, which is a central element of our Professional Nursing Practice Model. This program was created to recognize the registered nurse’s unique contributions to patient outcomes.
