(PLANO, TEXAS – Oct. 2) – In honor of National Breast Cancer Awareness month, Baylor Regional Medical Center at Plano will offer two Saturday Mammography Clinics on Saturday October 11 and 25.  Clinicians on the Baylor Plano medical staff encourage women to be diligent in sticking to a routine of breast self-exam, clinical examination by a physician and mammography.  The Clinics will be held at the Women’s Imaging Center at Plano, 4708 Alliance Blvd., Medical Pavilion I, Ste. 450. Appointments begin at 8:30 a.m. and can be made by calling 1.800.4BAYLOR.

Baylor Plano treats nearly all the health conditions a woman could face, except pregnancy-related issues. Health services include minimally invasive robotic surgery for gynecology procedures through the FDA approved da Vinci® S Surgical System, diagnosis and treatment for heart disease and stroke, cancer, digital breast imaging, diabetes, osteoporosis, and skin conditions.

Women also have access to two registered nurses to help patients navigate their way through the sea of services and resources available at Baylor Plano.  The women’s services coordinator provides free breast cancer risk assessments and individual and community education on a variety of women’s health and wellness issues – helping women make informed health care decisions by providing information, support and resources.  The certified patient care nurse navigator assists patients on an inpatient and outpatient basis with physician referrals, follow-up care, recovery services, education and connection to various programs, support groups and services throughout the hospital.
