(GRAPEVINE, Texas, April 16, 2009) – Baylor Regional Medical Center at Grapevine is pleased to announce it has received the 2009 VHA Leadership Award for Clinical Excellence. The hospital demonstrated the highest level of sustained improvements for the core measure of heart failure from September 2007 through June 2008. Baylor Grapevine earned the VHA award for the quality care of its patients with acute myocardial infarction (heart attack) and heart failure in 2007.
“It is an honor to receive the 2009 VHA Leadership Award for Clinical Excellence,” said Doug Lawson, president. “We are committed to exceeding national performance standards for clinical care.”
The VHA Leadership Award honors health care organizations that have differentiated themselves around national performance standards.
