(FORT WORTH, Texas, February 5, 2009) – The Weight Management and Surgery Program at Baylor Medical Center at Southwest Fort Worth introduces Operation Healthy Me. This new program is a continuous, customizable and multidisciplinary approach to weight management. The team includes a registered dietitian, clinical psychologist and an exercise specialist.

Operation Healthy Me classes meet Thursday evenings from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.; weigh-in starts at 5:30 p.m. To request a registration form, call 1-800-4BAYLOR. Participants will be given a schedule with specific dates. The schedule allows the participants to choose which classes they would like to attend.

“Our program differs greatly from the majority of diet and weight loss programs that are currently available. We do not rely on supplements or meal replacements, but rather give you the tool set necessary to make sustainable changes to your lifestyle,” said Emily Berry, MSPH, program coordinator, Weight Management & Surgery Program at Baylor Medical Center at Southwest Fort Worth.  “We treat the whole patient, covering each of the areas that can prevent you from being the healthiest person that you are capable of being.”

The fees for this program are as follows:

• Initial Assessment: $189 (includes 1 hour with dietitian and 1 hour with psychologist)
• Fitness Assessment (optional): to be determined

• Health and Behavior Class: $75
