Focused on being the best place to give and receive quality, safe and compassionate care, Baylor Grapevine works to lead the transformation of health care. The 233-bed hospital offers advanced medical services for cardiovascular services, women’s services, diagnostic imaging, neonatal intensive care, sleep disorders, intensive and emergency care.

Highlights

Expanded and Accredited Emergency Department

Nationally recognized in 2008 for its patient satisfaction scores by the Studer Group, the Baylor Grapevine emergency department (ED) is a 29-bed unit that operates 24 hours a day, seven days and week and provides quality care to patients of all ages. The expanded 23,000 square-foot facility is equipped with bedside check-in and triage, and advanced scanning equipment to speed a patient’s diagnosis and treatment. Larger patient rooms, a spacious new reception area and personalized care make patient visits comfortable and convenient. In 2008, the Society of Chest Pain Centers awarded accreditation to Baylor Regional Medical Center at Grapevine as a chest pain center. The facility received full Cycle II accreditation with PCI (percutaneous coronary intervention) from the Society of Chest Pain Centers (SCPC).

Heart and Vascular Care

At Baylor Grapevine, patients can expect quality, advanced care, diagnosis and treatment of heart and cardiovascular diseases. With door-to-balloon times below the national and community averages, the hospital’s specialized cardiology professionals take a team approach to rapid treatment of heart attacks and cardiovascular emergencies. The specialized services and innovative treatment options equip the clinical staff to fully manage cardiology-related medical needs from non-invasive diagnostic techniques to emergency procedures.

Advanced Diagnostic Imaging

Because time, convenience and service are important, Baylor Grapevine offers a comprehensive array of diagnostic services close to home. With three convenient locations to serve patients, the hospital’s technologists use current technology to deliver a full range of diagnostic imaging services. Patient services include easy scheduling (including evening and weekend appointments), as well as prompt report turnaround.

Digital Mammography

The new digital mammography technology at Baylor Grapevine computerizes the X-ray, enabling physicians to use a lower dose of radiation. Digital mammography is better than traditional film mammography for women who are under age 50; those who have dense breasts, and those who are pre- or peri-menopausal. While reading the digital mammogram, physicians can easily adjust the brightness, contrast and zoom into questionable areas for a more precise view.  Baylor Grapevine offers digital mammography at the Baylor Medical Plaza at Grapevine and Baylor Diagnostic Imaging Center at Keller. Other Baylor Grapevine diagnostic imaging services include 64-Slice CT and Breast MRI.

Weight Loss Surgery Center

The Weight Loss Surgery Center at Baylor Grapevine offers effective weight loss solutions through a comprehensive surgical program for qualified patients. Our specialized services include roux-en-Y gastric bypass, adjustable gastric band and gastric sleeve procedures. A team of multi-disciplinary professionals provide a comprehensive overall weight-loss surgery experience.

Baylor Sleep Center

The Baylor Sleep Center offers advanced monitoring technology and treatment, supported by a team of medical professionals who specialize in a broad range of sleep/wake disorders including snoring, obstructive sleep apnea syndrome, insomnia and narcolepsy. Other disorders treated include restless leg syndrome, periodic limb movement in sleep and circadian-rhythm disorders.  The clinical staff is committed to alleviating symptoms, improving daily functioning and restoring restful sleep for each patient.

Community Programs

Collaborating with the community through proactive health care initiatives helps Baylor Grapevine achieve the Baylor Health Care System’s mission. Baylor Grapevine provides health fairs, presentations, screenings, outreach programs and supplies to area school districts, chambers of commerce, health associations, churches, employers and civic organizations. A few notable free events include an annual Women's Health Day and Men's Health Day. Baylor Grapevine also serves area children through collaborations with eight school districts. For fiscal year 2008, Baylor Health Care System will report $429.5 million* in community benefit, which includes providing care for charity patients and patients enrolled in government programs such as Medicare and Medicaid, as well as the unreimbursed costs of medical education, research and community programs.
